About the Position
Operational excellence and strong community relationships are an essential part of what makes Commons a welcoming, effective, and inspiring learning community. As the Operations Assistant you will be an integral part of the school staff, assisting the leadership team in designing and maintaining operational systems and being the primary point of contact for parents and community members that visit and contact the school. The Founding Operations Assistant reports to the Executive Director. Additionally, this position is designed to evolve into a Director of Operations role over time.
Manage a well functioning main office
Assist in designing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for daily operations including purchasing, transportation, safety, nutrition, school calendar, etc.
Coordinate maintenance of existing facilities, and assist in project planning around new and future facilities projects
Maintain systems for infrastructure and equipment management
Assist in the selection of vendors including competitive bid-solicitation
Maintain regular communication with vendors
